RXV lithium conversion

What changes when an E-Z-GO RXV goes from lead-acid to lithium?

The battery is the main purchase, but it is not always the whole conversion. Tray setup, charger, mounting, 12V power and charge-port hardware can add work or parts.

Start with what is under the seat

Four 12V batteries identify the factory plastic-tray setup. Six 8V batteries identify the factory metal-tray setup. The checker uses the batteries already in the cart instead of guessing from model year.

Parts that can matter besides the battery

01

Lithium charger

Use the charger specified for the lithium battery or kit.

02

Mounting and tray

A single lithium pack may need dedicated mounting hardware or a replacement tray.

03

12V power

Lights, stereo, USB, horn and turn signals may need a DC-DC converter if the kit does not include one.

48V does not guarantee physical fit

Electrical compatibility and physical fit are different claims. A 51.2V LiFePOâ‚„ pack can match the nominal 48V system while tray fit, mounting or charge-port work is still unresolved.

Check fitment before comparing prices

First narrow the list to kits that make sense for your tray and powertrain.
